‘The Monkey God’ Jarred Brooks believes it’s just a matter of time before ONE Championship becomes the number one combat sports promotion in North America.
The promotion made massive strides over the summer when it debuted on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service. Since then, ONE has delivered five stellar events featuring some of the biggest moments of the year in all of combat sports. ONE will take things a giant step further in spring 2023 when they debut on American soil.
Excited to see ONE Championship start to fight for a foothold in the American market, Jarred Brooks believes this is only the beginning for the Asian-based organization.
He told ONE:
“If you look at it from an American [standpoint], how many people are tuning into ESPN+, compared to how many people actually have Prime Video? You have some American stars and star power put onto that, then that can overtake the UFC very easily. I mean, pay-per-view buys are another thing.”
‘The Monkey God’ continued:
“Who knows what ONE Championship is capable of with pay-per-view buys? But I know that they do that in other countries that don’t make them buy the pay-per-view on YouTube or the ONE super app. So I don’t know how many pay-per-views. They’re selling through that. But they got all of Asia as well, with that. So the American thing that ONE Championship is trying to tackle right now. And I think they’re doing a pretty good job with ONE on Prime Video.”

Newly crowned ONE strawweight world champion Jarred Brooks would like to defend his belt for the very first time in front of a hometown crowd when ONE Championship makes its long-awaited debut in the United States.
And if things go his way, he’ll do so in a rematch against the man he defeated at ONE 164, Joshua Pacio:
“This isn’t the end with Joshua Pacio. We were just talking about it too. So, I would love to give him another chance in Denver in the United States. He can come to my home turf and we can see where it goes from there.”
Announced for May 5, ONE will air ONE on Prime Video 10 live in Colorado featuring a massive main event for the ONE flyweight world championship. Reigning titleholder Demetrious Johnson will defend his crown against rival Adriano Moraes in a highly anticipated trilogy bout.
