CSK
58 / 100

In the CSK vs LSG IPL 2023 match, Lucknow Super Giants got off to a flying start with Kyle Mayers smashing a half-century off just 21 balls in the powerplay, while chasing a mammoth target of 218. However, CSK fought back with three quick wickets, and although Nicholas Pooran gave LSG some hope, CSK kept taking wickets and is now on the brink of victory. Despite sending down many wide and no balls, CSK managed to restrict LSG’s scoring.

Earlier, CSK started well with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway putting on 79 runs in the powerplay, which is the highest for CSK at Chepauk in IPL history. However, the scoring rate slowed down after Gaikwad’s dismissal for 57 off 31 balls and Conway’s dismissal for 47 off 29. Shivam Mavi and Moeen Ali struggled to get going but eventually hit some big shots before getting out. Other players, including Rayudu, played short cameos, and MS Dhoni smashed two sixes to reach 5000 IPL runs. Despite the slower scoring in the middle overs, CSK managed to reach a massive total of 217/7 in their 20 overs. KL Rahul won the toss and chose to bowl first but LSG got off to a sloppy start with the ball.
