The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah announced last week that the board is returning to the UAE to continue the Indian Premier League’s incredible journey.
The 14th edition of the IPL will be finished in the United Arab Emirates. Despite the fact that the competition is being held immediately before the start of the T20 World Cup, the BCCI is sure that the maximum number of foreign players will be accessible.
Before the season was interrupted, MI and CSK had met once, on May 1. Mumbai Indians chased down 219 on Keiron Pollard’s 87* off 34.
The Delhi Capitals are currently in first place in the points standings, having won six of their eight games. Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Riders traders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the next teams in the standings.
The Indian Test team is currently in England and will fly immediately to the UAE from there. The Test series between India and England concludes on September 14.

Due to international commitments, a handful of international players are likely to miss the season.
The England Cricket Board has already stated that its players will not be allowed to skip the international season, while Pat Cummins of the Kolkata Knight Riders has reportedly withdrawn from the season.
After formally postponing IPL 2021, BCCI claimed that they made the decision after consulting with the IPL Governing Council. The board refuses to compromise on the players’, support staff’s, and other stakeholders’ safety, as their safety comes first.
“The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect. The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff, and the other participants involved in organizing the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health, and well-being of all the stakeholders in mind,”- BCCI
